A editorial Springer Nature publica o novo libro impulsado polo equipo de xornalismo dixital de Novos Medios
Springer Nature acaba de publicar o libro Total Journalism: Models, Techniques and Challenges, promovido por investigadores do grupo Novos Medios, no que autores de universidades de varios países exploran en 20 capítulos o panorama xornalístico na terceira década do século XXI, en constante cambio e aínda baixo a incidencia dunha pandemia global.
O ‘xornalismo total’ é o concepto que abrangue un xornalismo renovado e actual que fai uso de todas as técnicas, tecnoloxías e plataformas dispoñibles. O libro estrutúrase en tres bloques: (1) A natureza innovadora do xornalismo; (2) Big data e desordes informativas; (3) Modelos, profesionais e audiencias; (4) Os desafíos da intelixencia artificial.
Esta publicación xurde do traballo realizado no marco de proxectos I+D como Cibermedios nativos dixitais en España: formatos narrativos e estratexia móbil e IBERIFIER, así como da colaboración con 50 investigadores de Arxentina, Austria, Brasil, Ecuador, España, Hungría, Irlanda, Italia, Noruega, Países Baixos, Portugal, Suecia e Suíza. Entre eles, tivemos o honra de contar coa participación do profesor e investigador Pere Masip. O capítulo Horizon 2030 in Journalism: A Predictable Future Starring AI? foi unha das últimas colaboracións nas que participou, xunto ás profesoras Bella Palomo e Bahareh Heravi.
Total Journalism: Models, Techniques and Challenges foi editado por Jorge Vázquez-Herrero, Alba Silva-Rodríguez, María-Cruz Negreira-Rey, Carlos Toural-Bran e Xosé López-García, membros do grupo Novos Medios da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, e foi publicado en liña o 21 de xaneiro de 2022.
