Carlos A. Scolari will deliver the lecture ‘The 1,000 Days That Changed the World: The Emergence of AI’

On October 15, at 1:00 p.m., the University of Santiago de Compostela will host the lecture The 1,000 Days That Changed the World: The Emergence of AI, delivered by Carlos A. Scolari, Professor of Theory and Analysis of Interactive Digital Communication at the Departament de Comunicació of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona).

The session, organized by the Novos Medios research group, will take place in Visionado 1 of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and will provide an opportunity to reflect on the impact of AI on society, communication processes, and the contemporary media ecosystem.

Carlos A. Scolari is the author of numerous books on digital communication and has recently published Homo Mediaticus. Una historia de la humanidad: del “hashtag” neandertal al iPod (Ariel), a work that revisits the history of humanity from the perspective of the evolution of media and communication technologies.
