DataEco project is organizing the seminar ‘Between Algorithms: Ethnographic Encounters in the Synthetic Era’ on March 4

The DataEco project celebrates its first official event with the seminar Among Algorithms. Ethnographic Encounters in the Synthetic Era. Led by researchers Emiliano Treré and Ezequiel Soriano, the meeting is designed as a space for critical reflection on social research with, of, and through algorithms. The team will introduce the general framework of the DataEco project, and they will explore techniques and approaches for studying social life in relation to generative artificial intelligence.

The encounter will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM (16:00), in the Sala de Doctorado of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Attendance is open to faculty, researchers, students, professionals, and the general public, with no prior registration required.

This seminar is made possible thanks to the ATRAE grant funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Reference: ATR2024-154984) to the DataEco project, awarded to Emiliano Treré as principal investigator.
