Researcher Álvaro López Martín joins the Novos Medios group thanks to a Juan de la Cierva grant, corresponding to the 2024 call and funded by the State Research Agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The project, supervised by Professor Xosé López García, will focus on the features of the construction and dissemination of political disinformation in the international context, adopting a comparative approach among the main countries.
López Martín holds a PhD in Education and Social Communication from the University of Málaga. He is the author of more than 50 scientific works, including articles and book chapters, in addition to over 60 papers presented at international conferences. His research lines focus on disinformation, professional routines, specialized journalism, and digital journalism, among other topics.
