María Cruz Negreira Rey, researcher at the Novos Medios group, has been promoted to Associate Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising after defending her teaching and research project on November 18, and once her nomination was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on December 8, 2025.
María Cruz Negreira Rey became a member of the Novos Medios group in 2017 and has been a lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences since 2019. Her research focuses on digital journalism, local and hyperlocal media, social media and audiences.
