Miguel Túñez named researcher of the year at the 17th International Conference of Revista Latina de Comunicación Social

Miguel Túñez López, professor and researcher from Novos Medios research group, has been named researcher of the year at the 17th International Conference of Revista Latina de Comunicación Social, one of the most influential scientific journals in the field of Communication, indexed in the top quartiles of Scopus and JCR. The jury highlighted his scientific leadership, a highly cited academic output, and his sustained commitment to the study of innovation and artificial intelligence in the communication sector.

As Director of the RTVE–USC Institutional Chair on Public Service Media in Europe, this recognition underscores the research trajectory of Miguel Túñez, which in recent years has focused on the transformation of public service media (PSM) in the current platform-based ecosystem.

Revista Latina de Comunicación Social also underlined his contribution as principal investigator in several competitive research projects, through which he has helped to develop benchmark models in Spain for the management and evaluation of public value.

The award is one of eight annual distinctions through which the journal recognises the talent, perseverance and dedication of professionals and researchers in the field of Communication Sciences.
