From May 19 to 22, the Novos Medios group traveled to Pontevedra, host of the 10th International Congress of the Spanish Association for Communication Research (AE-IC). Under the title Communicating in Uncertainty, the largest scientific event in Spain in the field of Communication brought together more than 450 researchers and served as a space for networking, debate, and recognition.
The Novos Medios research group had a strong presence at the congress, with 21 authors presenting 16 papers that shared results from the NEXTDIGIMEDIA, OpenPSM, XornalIA, DataECO and IBERIFIER Plus projects. Novos Medios researchers took part in plenary sessions, section activities, and the AE-IC Young Network across three intense and productive days.
According to what was approved at the annual assembly, the next congress will be held in Zaragoza in 2028. Before then, there will be upcoming meetings at the doctoral event in Cuenca (2027) and in the regular activities organized throughout the year by the association’s sections.
